EMDR Mike Ensley, LPC

EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. This dynamic therapy has been used for decades all around the world to bring people relief from symptoms of PTSD, and has many other applications with issues like anxiety, phobias, grief, OCD, and even addiction and compulsive habits.

EMDR works directly with the autonomic nervous system (ANS) which plays a huge role in emotional regulation, fight or flight response, and how you process and recall memory. Many symptoms of trauma and other conditions are rooted in this system being overwhelmed, improperly processing events, and creating unhelpful associations and stimulus responses.

Clients of EMDR therapy often experience significant changes in emotional response and thought patterns that once felt insurmountable and permanent.

I offer EMDR both here at the office in Loveland as well as in virtual sessions for clients anywhere in Colorado.

Yes! EMDR can be offered via teletherapy sessions online. If you're in Colorado, we can serve you!
